Hub Survey Now Closed

Thank you to everyone who completed our survey about whether Llangattock needs a hub/shop/cafe. We will analyse the results and present them at a public meeting at Llangattock Community Hall at 7pm on Wednesday 11th September. Early indications are that there is plenty of desire but we need to turn that into active support with the right team to lead it. Yesterday, a group of residents visited the fantastic Siop Llangors Shop to see what volunteers have done there (see pictures below). There are now 50 volunteers working on a rota and three paid staff. We have identified Welsh Government funding which would pay for a community hub in Llangattock. LCC would not be allowed to apply for it, so a new community-led group would need to form with the right team to lead it. And Llangattock will only get the money if it can demonstrate that the community is prepared to back the project with time and fundraising.

A friendly, vibrant, forward-thinking village in the South East corner of the county of Powys. We are surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
