The Council’s Environment Working Group organised a month of free, family-friendly eco-themed events to Celebrate the Great Big Green Week. These included two volunteer-run repair cafes, clothes upcycling workshop and a series of thought-provoking film screenings and talks. The activities were supported by the Together for Our Planet National Lottery Fund. The repair cafes were so successful that it is the intention of volunteers to continue them monthly once logistics are confirmed.
