You may have noticed the lovely summer meadows growing in the borders of the recreation ground. These wildflower meadows (now being cut back for autumn) were created as bee-friendly biodiversity enhancements in the park, running alongside the project to build an accessible around it. The money for the path has been given to the Council by the Landfill Communities grant scheme. We'll be announcing the successful contractor for that shortly.
