More improvements at the Recreation Ground

We've made some improvements to the gates at Llangattock Recreation Ground to make them more accessible for people who use wheelchairs. There are new gates at the vehicular access at the Eastern end of Park Drive, one side of which is wheelchair accessible. And there are new latch handles to make them easier to open from a seated position. We have also carried out further repairs to the climbing frame and one of the benches at the playground, which has new hardwood slats. Thanks to Llangattock contractors Meryck and Powell for the gates and George Smith for the woodwork. Thanks also to Accessibility Powys for their advice. The gates were paid for from a National Lottery Grant and the rest of the recent work, including the repairs and the new log seating area by the All Wales Play Equipment Grant Scheme run by the Welsh Government and Powys County Council.

A friendly, vibrant, forward-thinking village in the South East corner of the county of Powys. We are surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
