Councillors saving the Council money.

It's been a busy morning at the Recreation Ground, with Cllrs Richard Jones, Julian Rees and Gwyn Dobbs, doing some tree care. Looking after the Council's trees is a major and expensive task every year, often involving paid contractors. On this occasion, the Councillors they were crown lifting - cutting off the lower branches to let in more light below - and removing diseased and dangerous branches. Cllrs don't just sit in meetings; they often carry out tasks which save the council and the community money. We are lucky that Julian and Gwyn have the tools and the skills to carry out this task.

A friendly, vibrant, forward-thinking village in the South East corner of the county of Powys. We are surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
