Survey forms will shortly be pushed through the letterboxes of Llangattock residents who would be directly affected if a new residents-only parking scheme were to be introduced on their roads.
The forms will be accompanied by a detailed question and answer form, which can be downloaded by clicking this link. https://www.llangattock-cc.gov.wales/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Llangattock-Residents-Parking-Scheme-no-form-Survey.pdf
Parking was one of the biggest issues raised in the recent Place Plan consultation, so options need to be explored.
The highways authority, Powys County Council, runs the on-street scheme on offer and it is the only one available.
Llangattock Community Council has no power over on-street parking but does control the car park opposite St Catwgs Church, which is also included in the consultation.
Residents living in these areas will have to decide whether they want such a scheme to be introduced, as it would be restrictive for residents as well as visitors.
Anyone living outside the area on the map will have an opportunity to comment if a significant majority of those within say they want a residents-only parking scheme.
